Eliya, Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka’s magnificent tea area. The largest export crop in the country employing a million people directly or indirectly. Women do all the picking of the tender new growth for the production of tea. We also visited an impressive dairy farm.

The historic Heritance Tea Factory, now a very posh hotel sitting at nearly 7,000 feet above sea level.

We visited a local dairy farm first started by New Zealanders.

View of the local village from our hotel.

Shopping for fruit.
