Raptor Watch 2018, Malaysia

We headed for Tanjung Tuan to catch the raptors as they fly across the Straights of Malacca as part of their annual migration. We saw hundreds of birds, which gather above a lighthouse after their long flight. Not great pictures as I don’t have a three-foot lens attached to my iPhone. We did see some good clusters though.

It's a big event that hundreds of people gather to watch every year.
It was a long walk from the road to the lighthouse, all up hill.
Me trying to tell the difference between the hawks and eagles.
Our group.
Some of the larger birds.
