Cover Art for my next novel, Butterfly's Child

Hi everyone,

I'm excited and wanted to share. Today I received several mockups of different covers for my next novel, due out in December. I have a favorite, but I welcome everyone to leave a comment to vote on which cover you like best. I'm posting three covers here. All the others were variations of these three. So enjoy, and please let me know which one you like best.

Cover #2. The phallic symbol in the uppper left conveys the gay thing in a nice subtle manner, and I think the buffed young guy in cover #1 is overkill.

They are all lovely, but I also like cover #2 the best. I like the color values, which are a little melancholy and a lot mysterious. Of course, it sort of depends on what the book is about which cover suits the best!

A perfect pec hardly hurts a cover, but it's my least favorite. I like the third one for the half wing, but the background is too muted to generate the interest the second cover's background does. I'll vote for #2 as well.

Hi, Alan!

Congratulations on the new novel!

It's good for you to be able to choose: sometimes authors get stuck with covers they don't like.

I'm in favour of the third one, I like the fact that you see only half of the butterfly. IMO it would be perfect if the background could be a bit more focused.

Thank you for asking our opinion!
