Changing of the Guard in Lima, Peru

After the parade came the changing of the guard. The band on horseback were amazing. Among many marching tunes, they played the 1^stmovement of Beethoven’s 5^thsymphony in a Latin rhythm, while on horseback. Top that San Francisco symphony!!!

The day was great fun but exhausting in the heat. The only disappointment was a mediocre meal at Norky’s. Norky’s is famous for their rotisserie chicken, and we had many great meals there on our last visit. We had so looked forward to it, but this time it didn’t live up to our expectations. 

And later that night, dancing in the streets. Loved it.
