Because of the massive rains Southern California absorbed over the winter, most of which H. and I missed because of our trip to South America, the deserts and mountains around our home in Palm Springs is experiencing unprecedented amounts of flowering. We call it a super bloom, and in the seven years I’ve lived in SoCal, I’ve only seen one other. That was two years ago when the nine-year drought finally broke. But that year was nothing compared to this year. I’ll let a few pictures tell the story. Keep in mind these are pictures of the desert.
