Last
day in Bangkok, for now. A day on the Chao Phraya and the amulet market. Being
on the river is one of my favorite things to do in Bangkok. Always see
interesting people and lots of cool long tail boats. I was amazed that the sprawling
amulet market had been decimated. In the
past, the sidewalks were jammed with sellers and buyers. But now almost no
sellers were hocking their wares. The government must have prohibited them from
selling on the streets, no doubt to protect the few amulet shops in that area.
