Tan Ser Seng Herbs (Turtle) Restaurant, Singapore

On our first full day in Singapore, we were mainly interested in eating in restaurants specializing in dishes not found elsewhere. So we crossed town to eat at the most famous turtle soup eatery in town. We were not disappointed.
They have a very limited menu, and everything they do is the best you can find.

Our friends, Ben and Oyvind, flirting with our waitress.

Gingeng Black Chicken. Yes that black lump is chicken.

Vegetable in herb sauce and cucumbers in vinaigrette.

And, of course, we each had a bowl of their specialty—double boiled turtle soup.

Tender meats of turtle.
