It’s practically all sandy
beaches from the south up to the western coast town of Galle. Lots of fishing
communities and surfing and sunning beaches on the west coast for tourists.
Also a few spiritual sites for us wandering, searching souls.

temple on the way to Yala.
Yala stupa.
Beautiful
balsa wood trees that were filled with bats.
Fishing
boats off the western coast.

On
the seawall with monks in the background.
Kids
walking the seawall.
The
peninsula which the fort sits on is a UNESCO site full of small hotels, shops,
and restaurants.
Plenty
of charming, old Dutch buildings.
The
Fort Tower.
Another
snapshot of the fort.
Our hotel.
Our
room in a renovated Dutch colonial building.
Uh-oh,
